Let’s heal in perimenopause and menopause

The brilliance of our bodies no longer surprises me.

It delights me every time!

And as I’ve seen through my personal experience and my work, women at midlife have an advantage: perimenopause and menopause are portals for us to learn about the body’s brilliance, and our innate potential to heal.

But first we must disconnect ourselves from the pervasive narrative that we are somehow designed to malfunction and that our hormones have a tendency to go crazy!

Modern medicine promotes the belief that when we encounter a physical or mental health challenge – perimenopause and menopause symptoms included – we must search around outside of us for the medical expert and/or specific treatment to fix our supposedly malfunctioning body. There is no recognition of the boundless brilliance within each living thing, us women with our hormones included!

This often leads to patients becoming repeat Pharma customers; symptom suppression replaces healing; and down the line as the side-effects of this failed system with its abundance of chemical cocktails creates additional health challenges, we blame aging, genetics and family histories.

It is easy to forget that healing itself takes place within. Better conditions to heal are the most we can ever receive from someone or something outside of us, and even these conditions can be best created by us, once we remember our true nature.

We are the healers.
